            Jackson Pollock revolutionized contemporary art by his famous “drip” paintings; later resulting in worldwide renown within abstract art as an artistical genius coming from America. Jackson Pollock embodies the world of abstract art. Taking into consideration the worldwide recognition that Pollock gained as an American Artist, governments sometimes utilized this type of fame to spread a country’s culture to the masses of the world. Achieving fame by the means of art it is an achievement by itself, but Jackson Pollock took it a step further by pioneering the field of abstract art. This type of fame is a very special sociological phenomenon. So much so, that it can represent a country’s culture and be of tremendous positive influence in the eyes of the world.
