            Frank Lloyd Wright revolutionized American Architecture with his innovative design language. One of the avenues he took to make the impact that he did on his field was his unique interpretation of the modern American Home and the organization of the work space. While developing his architectural design language, Wright obtained inspiration from cultures around the world.  Wright, being inspired by human culture, he was able to revolutionize the design of the modern American home, as well as large scale projects for the corporate space. 

            When you try to dissect the trajectory of Frank Llyod Wright’s rise as one of the great architects of his time, one has to consider his interpretation of the modern American Home and in large scale corporate projects. One of the key design elements he incorporated to his work in the genre of architecture involving private housing was the way he brilliantly came up with the roofing style of these projects inspired by Japanese culture, which would become one of his visual trademarks in design. During Wright’s time in corporate architecture, one his most notable contributions was his design language in interior spaces. Wright went a deep as to design the very desks employees would work on, impacting the organizational aspect of the work environment.

As stated previously, Wright’s modern American home interpretation was inspired by Japanese culture, more specifically in the form of the traditional Japanese Pergola. Wright designed an elongated pergola-esque roofing style which would become iconic for his brand in architectural design. This design element allowed for these housing projects to appear massive in scale, visually appealing, and also allowed for very comfortable interior spaces.

Human culture played an important part in the development of Wright’s design language. Wright revolutionized the modern American home by incorporating the ideas he developed through cultural inspiration. He was also able to impact corporate world by designing the interior spaces traditional folk would work on. Frank Lloyd Wright, through his unique design language, became one of the most important figures in the field of architecture during the 20th Century.
